Catching Up!!!

It has been a few months since I have blogged. My life has been kind of crazy these last few months. The biggest change that has happened in the last few months is I got a teaching job. I feel so lucky and blessed to have my teaching job. I know that they are hard to get right now and especially in Iron County. I am absolutely loving it. I am teaching kindergarten at Iron Springs Elementary. I teach in the mornings. I love teaching half days right now so that I can still be a mom. The other kindergarten teachers have been so great to work with and helped me out so much on my first year of teaching. I am loving my class. I have some pretty cute kids. I just love how they just love to be at school. My baby girl turned one in July. She is growing up too FAST. I am loving the age she is at right now. She is super busy though. She is into everything and I sometimes can't keep up with her. She is learning so many things and is quite the fast learner. Chris has been busy with the hunts and it seems like it NEVER ends. O well Saige and I can't wait till its all over so we can have him back. I just wanted to do a little update. I want to add pictures of the past few months but I don't have them on my computer. I am going to try and do that this weekend since I have a long weekend!! YAY!!!

My sister-in-law Lesley took these pictures for me of Saige. She was almost 8 months old. I just wanted to post a few pictures because I thought they turned out cute. Saige was being such a stinker that day though. She would not hold still for the life of her and she didn't want her pictures taken.We could only get a few good pictures. Thanks Lesley for taking these! WE love them!!

*10 Months*

Saige is now 10 months old. I can't believe my baby will be turning 1 so soon. Saige is at a really fun stage right now. We are just loving the new things she is doing now. I seriously can't get enough of her. She is such a happy baby and hardly ever cries. She is such a easy baby now. She is always content.
Some of the new things Saige is doing:
* Has two bottom teeth.
* Can walk with a walker around the room pretty good. (She was cruising around the nursing room with a walker on Sunday. She loved being able to walk all over the room.)
* She loves food. She will go to anyone that will give her food.
*She still is tiny and petite. Still wearing 6-9 month clothes and some 3-6 month clothes. 9 month clothing just drowns her.
*She loves to play ball with you. She will throw the ball at you and than when you throw it she will try to get it.
*She loves her bath time. When Saige hears the bath water running, she will crawl as fast as she can into the bathroom.
*Loves to play with cellphones and remotes. She will try so hard to get them if I try to hide them from her.
*She loves to take things out of bags/baskets and than will throw them behind her. She will throw anything behind her. She is funny to watch.

*Relay For Life*

My cousin Hilaree has been fighting cancer this last while. Her good friend put together a relay for life team for her. We were able to join the team- Hearts~4~Hilaree.

*Nine Months*

Saige is now nine months. I took her to the doctors on Tuesday. She weight 15 pounds (2 percentile) and was 26 3/4 inches long (22 percentile). She is small and petite. She only gained a little over a pound from her 6 month appointment to her 9 month appointment. Saige is very active and always on the go.
Things Saige is doing now:
*can crawl everywhere (has been crawling for a month now)
*getting her first tooth
*walks along furniture
*can stand for a second by herself
*still wearing 6-9 month clothes (some 3-6 month clothes still fit her)
*loves ice cream
*starting to become shy to people she doesn't know
*loves to pull things out of boxes
Saige got two new cousins this last month. They both happen to be girls. They are both so dang cute.

*8 Months*

Saige will be 8 months tomorrow. These last 8 months have gone by so fast for me. I remember the day that I had Saige and it seems like yesterday. 2 weeks ago Saige started standing up to my mom's stairs. Than last Tuesday I was at my kitchen counter working on work things and I look over and found Saige standing up to her bouncer seat. She had the biggest smile on her face and was so excited that she could pull herself up. She is now trying to pull her self up to everything. She will stand up to her bouncer and than walk around the bouncer seat.



Saige went swimming for the first time on Friday and loved it. My sister Jen was down and so we took the kiddos to the swimming pool. Saige and Sawyer (my sister Jen's baby that is the same age as Saige) swam for a hour and half in the pool. Saige loved the water and was so content being in the water. I think we will be going more often to the swimming pool.

Things Saige is doing now:

* army crawls every where

* gets up on hands and knees and will crawl a few steps

*can pull her self up to things

*can eat food really good (she uses her gums pretty good)

*still has no teeth

*is impossible to put a diaper on/clothes because she rolls over

*still can wear 3-6 months clothes and starting to wear 6-9 month clothes

*she recognizes faces and voices

*loves to jump

*she has learned how to fake cry

*loves to play with her feet and take socks off

 

Back to the Blogging World!!!

Well I am officially horrible at blogging. I will have to admit that I love reading blogs but I don't do one. It makes me sad that so many people are so good at documenting things and I haven't documented one thing. My goal is to at least blog once a month from here on out. I have so much to blog about since my baby is growing so fast and doing new things every day. I want to start blogging about my baby girl. I want to use this as a journal for me to remember things. Saige is now 7 months and is all over the place. She is so close to crawling but hasn't quite figured it out. She army crawls all over the place. She has been army crawling for the past month and half. Saige is so active, she can't sit still. She is like holding a fish sometimes. She will fall me over the house. I can't get enough of her. I just love her to pieces. She is such a good baby. She hardly cries and is so content doing her own thing. She is starting to get into everything. Her favorite spot right now is where the DVDs are. She will pull all the DVDs off the bottom shelf. Being a mom is so much fun. I feel so blessed to have this little girl in my life and to be her mom. She is definitely a mommy's girl.  Here are a few pictures of Saige.
